Jars Meze

6 Northumberland Pl, Bath BA1 5AR, UK – 01225 471434

Excellent restaurant. The food is delicious, but what really makes this restaurant great is the ambiance and the lovely staff. They were really helpful and always ready with a smile, and the restaurant itself feels like a little bit of Greece in central Bath. Definitely try this great family restaurant!

Food was nice but service was a bit odd! We were 6 people, 2 ordered a starter and all ordered a main course. 15 minutes later 2 of the mains arrived followed by 2 more mains 5 minutes later. The 2 starters arrived about 5 minutes after that and then the last 2 mains arrived when everyone else had finished eating. So maybe a good place to eat for 2 but not for a group.

Chaiwalla Indian Street Food

42 Monmouth St, Bath BA1 2AN, UK – 07926 041588

Really tasty and really friendly. I just walked past this place and glad I went in. Had a samosa and bhaji both excellent. A small range of home cooked meals to grab and go. Definitely recommended and will be back next time in Bath.

After traveling through England for 2 weeks, this was by far my favorite meal on the trip and it came at a very reasonable price. I got the fried onions wrap (I forget the exact name) and some samosas. Everything was fried to perfection and so flavorful. Do yourself a favor and please go here while in Bath.

Joya Restaurant

6 Newmarket Row, Bath BA2 4AN, UK – 01225 460240

The staff were brilliant even though we came in late. The food was fantastic. We ordered starter and mains and the prices were reasonable. The place itself was cosy and welcoming. There was ever a couple who had returned after 15 years of marriage especially to see if they could find the same Italian restaurant they visited when they first got married and they did! And they said the food tastes as wonderful as ever.

Really good family run Italian restaurant. Their bread was delicious, and the seafood spaghetti was one of the best I've tasted. We were only in Bath for the evening and didn't have a reservation - very pleased to have stumbled across this restaurant. If we are in Bath again we would definately eat here. Highly recommended

Indian Temptation

9-10 High St, Bath BA1 5AQ, UK – 01225 464631

I don't normally write reviews but this restaurant is worth writing about. We had lunch on Saturday and it was great. Food quality was top notch. It takes a little bit longer than an average Indian restaurant but it gave me assurance that it is being cooked freshly. Service is polite and prompt. Highly recommended to vegetarians and vegans.

This food is AMAZING! They have a vegan menu that was so good that my entire family ate vegan food with me for the night. The veggie korma was ridiculously delicious and the lemon rice was so unique and tasty. The staff are lovely and accommodating. Wish I lived in Bath so I could go back!

The Eastern Eye

8A Quiet St, Bath BA1 2JS, UK – 01225 422323

Good Indian food. They catered our party of 9 without any fuss or long waits. Really good menu choices and an extensive and somewhat impressive wine list. All very reasonably priced. Great service and food!

Very good and attentive service. The price is very reasonable and the food is tasty. The air conditioning is a godsend in this hot weather. I visited at lunch time and it was quiet.

Bengal Brasserie

32 Milsom St, Bath BA1 1DG, UK – 01225 447906

Good food , excellent taste but they had a odd policy of ordering one main and one Rice/bread per person for dinner , makes you over order at times. Staff is great and service is excellent! Recommended!

Unique place to eat Indian food tucked away. Seems expensive but you get a lot for what you pay! Absolutely worth the money, food is lush. Little booths give a good sense of privacy.

ASK Italian

The Royal York Hotel, George St, Bath BA1 2EH, UK – 01225 789997

Lovely food but be patient... service is so slow. We may go again as the kids in particular loved the food. However next time we will aim to get there one hour before their meal time!!

We visited a little while ago for my partners birthday. I had never been to a ASK Italian so I wasn't sure what to expect, the building was void of any customers when we arrived, (I had booked just incase) we where the only table for a good hour before another couple arrived. Due to the lack of customers the waiters/Waitresses were a little over bearing for me, there's chatty and then there's desperately chatty to get us to order, on top of that hovering around watching to see when we were done and the loud conversations between staff were a little distracting. Despite this the food was okay but not spectacular for the price, the servers were very happy though. I would like to try ASK again perhaps on a busier night though.

Ponte Vecchio

Spring Gardens Rd, Bath BA2 6PW, UK – 01225 424800

Great food and really helpful staff. The manager saved us a window seat overlooking the river, as it was our wedding anniversary. Staff were very helpful and checked in on us regularly. Good food and fairly decent prices.

The Bramble Babes really enjoyed a work get together meal. The food was amazing and the staff were polite and attentive. I would definitely return for another enjoyable meal.

Aqua

88 Walcot St, Bath BA1 5BD, UK – 01225 471371

Visited on a Wednesday evening, it was fairly quiet with only 6 other tables taken. Service was good, food was lovely with good sized portions. Separate seating downstairs where you can see into the open kitchen. Toilets are also down here so beware if you can't manage stairs well. Overall a pleasant evening.

Excellent service, wonderful food. Very tasty. The interior of the restaurant is very nicely styled creating a really comfortable but contemporary atmosphere. You're spolied for choice with the menu. I'd personally recommend the pork cheek for main!

Vino Vino

5-6 Saw Cl, Bath BA1 1EN, UK – 01225 312341

One of my favourites places to go to. The food is locally sourced and tastes amazing. The cheese and meat bored is a favourite of mine and they have a great selection of wines or cocktails to go with the food. Whenever I’m around Bath I make sure I visit.

It was a pleasant al fresco experience and we sat in the warm evening air as the world passed us by...the food disappointing ...it was expensive and there wasn't really much of it...the wine was again expensive for what it was...the place is glitzy...and stylish...however the toilets..often so indicative of things... were small cramped and looked like a regiment of Calvary had just left...not a great experience..we enjoyed each other rather than the venue

The Earl Cocktail Bar

9 Manvers St, Bath BA1 1JQ, UK – 01225 464451

So, after attending an evening at the Earl and moving onto the Second Bridge nightclub I had a great time, until the end when I couldn't find my ticket and had to leave my coat there. After returning almost two weeks later, Eden (The staff member) took a calm and professional approach to helping me find my coat in which she did, so thank you Eden, I will be returning soon!

Circo Bar

15 - 19 George St, Bath BA1 2EN, UK – 01225 585100

Lovely laid back setting. Lots of space. Great cross generational music. Loved the vibe!!!

Caters for all. Decent drinks, DJ & dancefloor, sit down bar areas. Perfect for groups and friends who want a slightly older crowd rather than a sticky, studenty club!

Bath Chinese Restaurants

Hon Fusion Chinese Restaurant

25 Widcombe Parade, Bath BA2 4LD, UK – 01225 446020

Good selection of different Chinese dishes including stuffed green peppers and aubergines. Friendly staff. Plastic bowls are really down graded the restaurant itself. Waitress uniform looks too casual.

Excellent place to have a Chinese meal. Very friendly staff. Food was lovely and was served hot. Highly recommend.

Peking Restaurant

1-2 New St, Bath BA1 2AF, UK – 01225 466377

Really fantastic food and impressively fast service. We ordered duck, tofu, beef and shredded chicken, all excellent. Service was mostly good apart from a waiter who was clearly new so I won't let him affect the score or review. I have very few complaints other than a few small comments. The menus need re-printing. Get on that ASAP before the really start looking unprofessional. They're not quite there yet. Pricing was reasonable and the menu was easy to understand. The pudding menu could be improved by including more dishes that are available. Two attempts were made at ordering desert but the staff are lovely and helpful so it doesn't matter. Lovely fish tank too, even if they look a bit like they need an air pump in there (they're bunched up and not very active.) Overall, a great experience and I wish I could go more often.

Great food, reasonable prices and excellent service. The staff are so polite and accomodating. Can't fault this place at all.

Cheong Sing

26 Moorland Rd, Bath BA2 3PW, UK – 01225 337117

So good this place, exceptional takeaway...we've all had a bad chinese - this one isn't one of them, great food every time, just a shame they re-fry the chips they haven't sold...so after a few times in the fat fryer theres no bite to them, overcooked.

I've lived near MoorLands Road for the last 22 years and used this Chinese throughout that time, and I can say they have always produced the best chinese food in the area.

Bath Vegetarian or Vegan Restaurants

The Real Italian Pizza Co

16 York St, Bath BA1 1NG, UK – 01225 330121

Absolutely delicious food with really great service. They were quite busy even though we went on a weekday but they gave us a nice table without a reservation. The staff were very attentive, asking us regularly if everything was okay and if we needed anything. Both of us had pizza, and though we got different things we both enjoyed it a lot. Like most pizzerias, one pizza each was too much and neither of us finished, so portion size was good. We also had dessert, and my boyfriend is very fussy in regard to ice cream but really enjoyed theirs! Definitely recommend and if we are ever in Bath we'd go back.

There's no better place in Bath for gelatto (that's ice-cream... 😜) and pizzas! You will feel like you're in Italy 🇮🇹... Really. Also don't leave Bath without trying their sister restaurant Joya, around the corner if you want something a bit quieter. Service is excellent in both places.

The Circus Restaurant

34 Brock St, Bath BA1 2LN, UK – 01225 466020

Exceptional restaurant. Intimate spaces, friendly staff. Very good wine list that looks like it pairs well with food choices. But the food itself is where this place excels. Very creative offerings, well prepared and presented. Can especially recommend this summer's gazpacho and the feta 'cheesecake' entree.

An intimate and cozy little independent restaurant. There's a lovely atmosphere and the food is really quite delicious in a "fine dining meets home cooking" kind of way. In a city that's blighted by restaurant chains churning out uninspiring dishes it's great to see, and important to support, wonderful independent restaurants making a success of it. I'd recommend The Circus to anyone.

wagamama bath

York Buildings, 1 George St, Bath BA1 2EB, UK – 01225 337314

First time I had been to a wagamama and it was good. Yaki udon was quick to come, filling and tasty. The fresh juice was refreshing and the staff were friendly. Not a bad price £32 for two ( no alcohol or desert) both full at the end.

Lovely food and staff were happy to help. They seemed to be busy when I was there so very popular!

Pub Food with Reviews, Maps and Links to their websites

The Cork

11-12 Westgate Buildings, Bath BA1 1EB, UK – 01225 333582

A really good pub. Great atmosphere (admittedltly the boxing was on), could still be entirely separate from the main bulk of people thanks to the booths. Great selection of drinks, both local craft beers and selection of wine and spirits. Reasonably priced. Will be back for more

This is a great city pub with an atmosphere to match. Good as a meeting place or to spend an evening at. It has the advantage of having an outside area, great on warm days. Service was quick and attentive. Prices fair. The only down side is the Cork could do with a decent beer offer for guest like me who prefer the full flavers of an ale .

Victoria Pub & Kitchen

Upper Bristol Rd, Bath BA1 3AT, UK – 01225 422563

The service and food was more then excellent. My wife had the fish and chips. I had the chicken special in a tomato basil sauce. The tomato, basil soup was the best I ever had.

A reasonably nice roast, if a little pricey for what you get. Like a lot of places in Bath they fail to really nail what makes a roast dinner great and lack in the areas of side veg, roast potatoes and gravy. The meat and taste was great though, so will return to review some more of the menu in the future possibly.

The Raven

7 Queen St, Bath BA1 1HE, UK – 01225 425045

Great old fashioned British pub with friendly staff. Excellent selection of ales and lagers including their own 'Raven', a rich dark ale that tastes of black treacle and biscuits. The food includes excellent Pieminister pies. If you're a visitor to the UK then I'd highly recommend coming here for a great pub experience. If you like ale then definitely come here, if you just like a good drink with friends then likewise.

Good pub in a historic building that serves a good range of ales as well as their own beer. Food in here is excellent and hassle free when ordering, both an upstairs and downstairs area with limited seating. The main problem with this pub is that it is well know and usually very busy and full so you are unable to get a seat, let alone a drink.
